EXPO 2008
Business Continuity Expo
2008 brings together a diverse range of products, services and
toolkits from industry leaders and below is a sneak preview of new
and exciting products and services showcased at the event.
BSI (Stand No. 450) will be
launching their new BCM web portal. This dedicated BCM portal will
contain everything you need to compile and audit your business
continuity plan.
Connect Systems LLP (Stand
No. 340) is to announce it’s new products and services for quick and
easy recovery for SMB’s. These include the new Server Recovery
Option from DoubleTake software (Stand No. 600), a low cost server
replication product. Double-TakeŽ Software are launching
Double-TakeŽ for VMware Infrastructure 3.0, enabling businesses of
all sizes to protect their critical data by simplifying protection
of virtualised workloads and providing automated failover of Vmware
virtual machines.
Continuity Shop (Stand No.
444) announces expansion into China, India and the Gulf. Having a
portfolio of BCI-Approved courses and holding a licence to deliver
the new BCI training modules, it plans to deliver them world wide,
working with partners.
Continuity˛ (Stand No. 420)
launches it’s new product – ReachAll- The Rapid Communication system
to ReachAll. The product will make communication the least of your
worries in the event of a crisis.
Continuity˛ will be making
the most of the latest voice technology and two-way SMS, you can
guarantee that your message is received loud and clear.
Criticall (Stand No. 366)
will showcase V3 of their Nerv8 infrastructure platform, which
underpins all their ‘SaaS’ offerings and has driven their company
revenues to treble in 3 years. Criticall will also be announcing 3
major long-term contract wins with global banking, pharmaceutical
and IT facilities companies.
Ear Productions (Stand No.
333) will be launching their new Exercising Toolkit which uses
sound-effects, sound-bites and film to inject reality into exercises
in a very simple, cost-effective way.
Easy2solve (Stand No. 240)
is launching the RUsecure Business Continuity Expert.
Using highly functional relational database technology,
this exciting new software development covers all aspects of BCM
including defining your business structure; analysing threats and
risks; developing the recovery plan and managing actual incidents
when they occur.
eBRP Solutions (Stand No.
334) launches toolkit CommandCentre- a powerful web-based tool that
puts real-time information at the fingertips of Incident Managers.
Designed to deliver Intelligent Incident Response Solutions for any
business incident, it provides visual "dashboards" that facilitate
real-time decision making, real-time reporting, monitoring, and team
collaboration.
Gematech UK Ltd (Stand No.
500) will be launching three new products at the show. One of which
is the Dealer Board CAS Recovery – Providing a truly unique solution
to instantaneously and seamlessly re-route individual, nailed up,
CAS channels over the PSTN converting back into CAS following a
circuit failure and/or recovery to alternative CAS Dealer Boards
located in remote sites including the provisioning of home based
Dealers.
Infosec Associates’ (Stand
No. 440) award winning modular approach to integrated risk and
resilience management incorporates pragmatic techniques and tools
that enable you to gain control of your organisational resilience
and target resource where it adds most value.
Line Xero Ltd (Stand No.
630) announced the launch of a new product called RiskTaker in
February which will be appearing on their stand at Business
Continuity Expo. RiskTaker is a fully configured hardware appliance
aimed at the small and medium enterprise (SME) market.
MacoPharma (Stand No. 456)
manufacture a range of medical goods to be used in the event of
Pandemic Influenza. MacoPharma realises that a workforce who are
protected effectively from contracting the potentially lethal virus,
will reduce the devastating effects to small and large business,
through worker absence/illness.
Marsh Ltd (Stand No. 366),
the insurance broker and risk adviser, will be revealing the
results of its pan-European Benchmarking survey at the event.
Analysing firms' attitudes towards business continuity management
and critical risk issues, the findings will provide a unique
insight into business continuity’s place on European boardroom
agendas and the return of investment business continuity provides.
Mimecast (Stand No. 210)
will be previewing the latest version of its web-based unified email
management service. The new version is fully integrated with
Microsoft Outlook and offers email security, archival and continuity
of service, including 24/7 access to all incoming, outgoing and
archived emails even in the event of planned or unplanned server
outages.
On 2nd April, at Business
Continuity Expo 2008, executives from British American Tobacco will
be discussing how the organisation is using software from Neverfail
Group (Stand No. 400), a provider of continuous availability
solutions, to protect its BlackBerry service from downtime.
PageOne Communications ltd
(Stand No. 533) will have a suite of business continuity products
branded Flare, which can help maintain secure and reliable messaging
communications as a key part of businesses continuity plans.
Power Electrics Generators
(Stand No. 447) aims to meet all requirements whether the
requirement is for instant response with a generator to maintain
backup power, rental of a standard or specialised unit or a complete
turnkey project, will be showcasing the breadth of its capabilities
at Business Continuity Expo this year.
Risk Reasoning Ltd (Stand
No. 330) will be launching RiskAid Enterprise to support all your
risk assessments, including business continuity: clearly and simply
showing the potential cost benefits of each action against risk
exposure, throughout your organisation.
Siemens Enterprise
Communications Ltd (Stand No. 254) latest product – OpenScale
Services – is designed to reflect the stages that a customer moves
through when considering and implementing business continuity
programmes. The five stages are: Evaluate, Design, Implement,
Operate and Improve, providing a complete solution for continuity
utilising professional services, training and solutions.
Star (Stand No. 251) will be
announcing a suite of business hosting products designed for SMEs
that have integrated and optional features to support business
continuity and disaster recovery planning. These products will
feature varying degrees of inbuilt redundancy, SLA, recovery and
replication options designed to meet with the organisation's own
appetite for risk.
Teed Business Continuity
(Stand No. 314) will be showcasing Supply Chain Continuity - review
the BC preparedness of your key suppliers by identifying potential
risk exposures and actions to ensure continuity of supply in the
event of a disruption. Also available is Continuity Cover; a package
of three fixed-price, straightforward, cost-effective BCM solutions
specifically for SMEs.
Tribune Business Systems’
(Stand No. 710) capacity planning and optimisation service provides
an integrated set of analysis, planning and decision support reports
to enable faster, measurable and more accurate infrastructure
assessment. All of which will help you make smart decisions when
vitalising and consolidating data centre infrastructure, redeploying
strategic IT assets and optimising workload capacity utilisation.
Corporate communication
specialists Vocal (Stand No. 430) has launched the eagerly awaited
new platform iModus. iModus, the dedicated business communication
suite, uses SMS text, voice, interactive voice response, paging and
email to disseminate vital information about potential incidents or
quite simply a mass communication tool.
Designed specifically for
use within the business continuity marketplace, it’s a tried and
tested solution which can be tailored and adapted to meet your
businesses requirements.
WebEx Communications BV
(Stand No. 543) will demonstrate how business disruption can be
transformed into business-as-usual through the use of online
collaborative services. Senior Product Manager Michael Murphy will
talk through the possibilities in a presentation in the Solutions
Theatre at 10am, April 3rd, with free trials available for all
visitors
